    Sorry just a vent, it's been a while ;P

I moved house 3/4 weeks ago, I missed my last prescription, 2/3 weeks ago, now my doctors have suspended my insulin until I get the test done again, then go in, usually a 2/3 week wait, despite the fact I had it done in December.... I got diagnosed a year ago Xmas eve, I've jumped the hoops and...

    3 square meals a day?

Is it really necessary to eat 3 square meals a day, and potentially snack in between? It's now 4.15pm and I haven't eaten today, it wasn't uncommon for me not to eat until dinner before diagnosis and I still often only have 2 meals, am I putting myself at risk of anything or is it ok to skip meals?

    Problem!

So I've just finished work and went to pick up my prescription from the doctors, first one, and they won't issue it and saying I have to see the doctor again Monday- which would be fine, except I have 3 testing strips left and 4 needles (injecting 5 times a day) what am I supposed to do? I don't have a sweet tooth normally but it's all I can...

Type 1: Hi newly diagnosed and clueless! Lol

Hi I went into hospital on Xmas eve with what I've now learned was DKA, I'm a 28 year old male who hadn't seen a doctor, or even had one, for 10 years. I'm a single dad with a full time job and learned I have type 1 diabetes. Because of it being the holidays I never saw a diabetic nurse or...
