Can anyone tell me why I have to take both Metformin and Glimeperide? I am gaining weight as a side effect of the Glimeperide (I think) and struggle not to hypo. No-one every tried just Metformin first. I was immediately put on both. Any thoughts or knowledge anyone? Thank you

Newly diagnosed t2 and my vision is really blurred. Am told it will rectify itself when my diabetes is controlled but would love some reassurance from others this has happened to. Am on glimeperide and metformin.
