Hi all, diagnosed diabetic this past Christmas , no help doctors useless and I'm 15. Finally got my hospital appointment last week and it turns out they never tested as to whether I'm type 2 or 1. I've got to have blood tests done but the one to see what type I have takes 6-8 weeks to come...

Would it be safe to do a water fast (no food just water but maybe with some black coffee), currently on 2000mg of Metformin per day. Can only get bg to 7 (rare) so thinking this may give it the kick and then to break the fast to have just protein ?

Currently on 2000mg of Metformin in total, 500mg twice in the morning and twice in the evening with dinner. Would it be ok to take an extra 1 just as i go to sleep ? (In the hopes of lower levels in the morning ?) Thank you ❤
