    Diabetics who lunch.

Hi All, T2 for three years. Varying states of control. On the relatively rare occasions that we treat ourselves to an evening takeaway my go to is a curry. Sugar free squash.

I wonder if anyone has an opinion on the following? I don’t really enjoy drinking water so Intend to drink sugar free squash. Or I think it’s called “no added sugar”. Plant based milks.

Having tried and liked oat milk, I was a little peeved to realise it is basically an oat smoothie, which foe me, isn’t great. I have just read about pea milk. Has anyone here tried it? Is it good for a coffee, flat white, etc? Thank you.

    Fasting glucose level query.

Hi, For someone with a relatively high fasting glucose level, is it better to have something low carb in the morning, maybe egg based, rather than extending my fast, (currently until around 2.00pm) thereby spending a protracted length of time with a higher glucose level? I can’t quite decide if...

    Diet Dilemmas.

Hi all, is anyone else struggling with conflicting advice regarding diet? As a T2D I also have slightly raised cholesterol. I have made my diet as cholesterol friendly as I can, but I thought I would also try some Benecol type products with the added plant stencils. Unfortunately the only ones I...

    Missing meals.

Hi, Is there any consensus of opinion on whether skipping a meal is a good or bad thing as a type 2? I have been having my “breakfast” at around 1.30 thinking it was a good thing as the less often you eat, the less often you are going to get a spike. I have just read, however, that missing a...

    CGM on a budget.

Hi All, I'm keen to try a CGM for a few weeks so I can easily check my reactions without constantly having to do finger prick tests. Has anyone found a way to do this without it costing a fortune? I'm thinking maybe two weeks to a month. Cheers Nick
