Hi i hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying the bank holiday weekend. Just a quick question to what you guys do in the summer when it is scorching hot (i know it seems a while away yet ;) ) because i know we cant have ice cream or ice lollies or milkshakes or anything nice to cool us down...

Past week or so i have been getting bad acid reflux and hearburn symptoms. I am on metformin but the slow release one and having to firm the gaviscons at the minute. Has anyone suffered anything similar, im definetley not coeliac either.

So today ive had an appointment and my doctors are really impressed with me. In 2022 october when i was diagnosed i was at 120kg and today im weighing 84kg. My bmi is now normal at 25. My blood sugar scores have been phenomenal and the docotors are pretty convince i am in remission just waiting...

Hi all! I am planning to go and climb snowdon for an islamic charity fundraiser for the turkiye and syria crisis. Would you guys advise against or has anyone done some climbing before.

Anyone have any breakfast ideas for type 2 that doesnt shoot their bg up. Lol i bet everyone gets so bored of the bog standard weetabix or wholemeal toast and boiled eggs. Would love to hear some ideas!

Happy that i have made a small amount of progress and able to manage diabetes with just the metformin and dieting alone. We will get there soon and i still have hope that i can fight this with the will of God!

Anyone struggle with constipation and any advice you can give? I feel like ever since i started metformin ive been getting these issues with my bowel movements but the endo nurses said that consitipation is not a side effect of it. What else could it be??? I always hate having to go to the gp...
