    tea and blood sugar levels

    I have type 2 diabetes and am awaiting to see a specialist. My problem at the moment is when I get up in the morning like today my reading was 8.3 after just one cup of tea with a dash of lactose free milk and no sugar it rose to 11.3. Is this normal.     CRY FOR HELP

    I have had type 2 diabetes now for over 10 years, together with the related high blood pressure. I am being treated with tablets taking 9 for diabetes and 9 for blood pressure.
