Malcolm Folley interviews Sir Steve Redgrave

Hi Catherinecherub Thanks for explanation on Type 1/Type 2 that I didn't realise. As for Sir Steve, the reason for my annoyance is the article (in my opinion) has belittled him. He was my shining light when I was diagnosed, if he can achieve a 5th Gold medal with diabetes, then I can go about...

Malcolm Folley interviews Sir Steve Redgrave

Hi All Thank you for your feedback, on the article in MOS on Sir Steve Redgrave. My concern is a paper that carries a weekly supplement on health issues obviously doesn't have an editor of health-related issues. Mr Folley has used the old: 'Why spoil a good story with the facts'. Otherwise the...

    Exercise

Hi Phoenix I really enjoyed your thoughts on the importance of exercise with Type 1 in particular. Honeymoon Period

Hi Willogs I agree with you that a shot of insulin gives the pancreas a kick. The stressor for me is I check my BS at 10pm come in at 5.6, have 3 digestive biscuits with butter and a glass of milk and check at 7.30 and come in at 6.9 - why the increase? Kind regards Seabill

    Honeymoon Period

Hi Willogs It was what they presented me with on my first day. So I dont know if Novomix 30 is the best for me. I was going to go to 4 until I realised my gradual reductions in units weren't affecting my BS. I dont do any Carb counting as yet! Have been blessed with this honeymoon period...
