    Advice for Metformin

    I get hypos on metformin. No one believed me until I showed them my meter readings of 1.4 n lower. My levels are normally high n every now n then drop suddenly. Very scary n I feel shaking n like I've been kicked in the stomach.

    Just seen that this med and metformin together most common side effect is low blood sugar, now have to go back to see nurse. She not back till next week. Think will just stick to metformin till I get to see her. Thanks for your help

    Memory / Speech problems

    I was put on metformin and my memory went over night. Making silly mistakes at work and couldn't remember anything. I went to gp and medication has now been changed to slow release. Memory not as good as it was before medication but miles better than it was.
