I've had a letter from my GP practice saying they are swappong me from Glucophage sr to Yaltomin just like you to reduce NHS expenditure. Not picked it up yet so can't comment on how it compares.

I had similar problems with standard metformin and moved to the slow release one after reading about it on here and talking to my GP. SR has resolved the problem mainly but still get the odd loose bowel but nowhere near as bad. I find if I take them with food they are fine. It took some weeks...
