    Struggling with type2

My husband looks on the NHS app the day after a test and the results are usually there already! If not the day after. He can compare year to year this way too.

Recipe needed for turkey or duck Christmas dinner!

He's usually on his own these days, last year he turned up with 2 others but when he came back this year he's on his own. I gave him some of my Swan and Duck pellets and now he mooches around the anglers so he must have liked them! We love pigs too, so much character and quite amazing to watch...

Recipe needed for turkey or duck Christmas dinner!

My husband brought a Goosnargh duck home from work once (worked in agriculture). I did a youtube search and took the breasts off and skin and did Chinese style with stirfry and did the rest 'crispy'. Lovely, one meal with 2 courses and used the bones for stock

Oh, by the way my husband was finally prescribed Metformin yesterday after doing diet only for 9 years - just a tablet a day to begin with. He told the health worker we had been invited to relatives and they were cooking meat and potato pie, she said to have it 'for once, it won't do you any harm'

Terry, sorry you feel this way. I would try to concentrate of what the people on here say rather than listen to 'experts' who will tell you it is OK to have a 'bit of bread' or 'whatever you fancy' now and again until you get it under control. My Dad (who was only 'diabetic' because he was fat...

Blood sugar 25 after eating pizza 6 hours ago

Mr. Zig is completely diet controlled. The last time he/we had pizza (YEARS ago) it made him so ill it was absolutely frightening, the morning after, a full 15 hours later he was stumbling around and disorientated and nearly got knocked down as he slipped into the road. In our house apart from...

Why do some people not take T2 serious

When I took my Dad to 'Desmonds' (eat what you like NHS advice) there were people there who'd had it for years and not done anything about it, even when losing limbs. We give any '****' to food banks too.

    Just diagnosed

Sorry about your diagnosis :-( Your referrals will probably be to people like Diabetes Diet (waste of time in our experience) and such like. Read a lot of what is on here. A lot of people speak to 'experts' who tell them to do the wrong things, like eating bananas and bread. Mr. Zig was T2...
