    Hi All

I have been testing before and after meals, and there is a jump of 2 or 3, but then I am really high at the moment. My morning level today was 17. How long does a honeymoon period last for, I mean I came off insulin in Oct 2009?

    Hi All

This is an odd situation. When I orignally posted back in 2009 I was told I was T1. This lasted till October 2009, when I was tested and told I was T2. I was tested as I had tight control and takin 1 or 2 units of insulin with my meals. In May 2010, I came off Metformin, as my bloods were...

Not Type 1 but Type 2

I had a Glucagon test, where the glucose was maintained between 5.2 and 5.5 mmol, and my own insulin responded with a C-peptied level of 1305 increasing to 1779. I also have negative antibodies to the insulin secreting cells. So it looks they will start me on Metformin. My orginal blood...

    Scuba diving and diabetes??

I find it more frustrating than anythign else.. As the wife said I have not dived in 5 years, so sell the stuff... I won't be giving up my rugby :) Ruby is part of the reason I need to sell my stuff, as my rugby thighs won't fit in my dry suit :)

To Low Carb or Not to Low carb

To be honest I am confused about it all.. and the fighting between every one does not help. Why is there such a 'nastiness' between the two groups? Is it historic? I presume that is why there are Low Carb and a non-low Carb forums, as it can't be discussed in the open?

    Word is Getting round!!!

I can see that some of the comments, even if said in ject could be off putting to teh NHS or the PTCs. It is a shame as this forum is very helpful. I like to sit back and see the war between the low and the non-low carbers :)

    Is this serious

Hana this depends on the exercise. Cardio I belive you can do every day. Weights you alternate body sections, Upper 1 day, lower the next... Well that is what I used to do, and will have to start to get fit for rugby again :(
