Thank you for sharing your experience, a very similar journey. I had a tooth out yesterday and I'm in pain. Paracetamol doesn't cut it. I received my test strips and lancets today, so fasting BG tomorrow am. I'll test before my evening meal of roast veggie soup.

I am returning to the forum, after sliding backwards

I was last on the forum as 2016! Time has flown by. I managed to put my tentative type2D in remission, and with "keep doing low carb & exercise" ringing in my ears, I skipped off. I put on a pre-diagnosis pair of jeans last week just for a shop run. Did them up and they fell down. Good for the soul, heavy on the purse. I second getting intrim bits from charity shops and supermarket reduccies as this LC>F lifestyle is a lesson in changing body shape.... Forgot to test...

Not high blood glucose? Sorry not watched the video yet as still collating receipts for accountant, but I thought it was the high BG that was "powdered glass, in blood causing inflammation where ever blood goes" or summut like that....

@NoCrbs4Me with your theory, which I agree with (in theory!), it would explain why some people might lose a little weight when embarking on a LCHF diet although their meter readings are good for them, if they are still producing epic amounts of insulin in response to foods consumed then the fat...

Ahem, my 2pence worth... get a meter and test. We all have glucose metabolism issues, only we all don't manifest it the same way. Some can do oats some can't. Some can eat small amounts of wheat bread some can not. Rarely will anyone get away with honey, sorry. Main point is test test test...

Cold turkey worked for me as it took a while to retrain my food prep thinking. Amazing what we do on autopilot, now 3ish mths down the line I am a lot better. I don't remember the LCHF "flu" some have experienced, but be aware that withdrawal headaches and feeling **** might have you reaching...
