Hi. I had no idea diclofenac is being withdrawn. I had some left over in my cupboard from a previous prescription so wondered if they were safe to take with metformin and just generally safe for a diabetic to take .thanks for ur info x

Hi I'm type 2 on metformin 3 times a day.i take cocodamol for a long time for back pain but today my pain is so bad and I would usually take diclofenac also but don't know if I can along with metformin and if it's allowed for diabetics. Can anyone advise please.x thankyou

My doctor said originally to take all 3 together. But I just got my new prescription and that says take 1 tablet with breakfast,1 with lunch and 1 with dinner. So I'm confused .

Hi I noticed you are also taking metformin. I am having 3 x metformin 500mg daily . I'm not sure if I should be taking them at each meal time or taking all 3 tablets together at morning .can you help.x

Hi ,I don't have a meter yet my doctor didn't say I needed one.

Yes this has started since being diagnosed and increasing my metformin but I have drastically changed my diet ,no sugar,no carbs or very few .i have no means of recording my sugar levels yet.

Hi can you help.for the past week I've felt a very fuzzy feeling in my head .mostly of a morning .makes me feel dizzy and as if my brain is shaking in my head. Is this to do with my diabetes or maybe my metformin .your help would be greatly appreciated .

Everyone is so helpful. This site is amazing for people like me who are just given tablets and told to cut out sugar, then sent home to do it alone

Thankyou . How many carbs can I eat a day

I've just been diagnosed with diabetes 2 . My doctor has put me on metformin 1500 daily with the order to cut out sugar from my diet.im confused about what I can eat or can't. Do I count sugar content in food or carbs .i don't know what I can eat. I'm starving. Help.
