    How long have you been diagnosed?

    nearly 48 years. I was 18 months old. My parents done very well considering the equipment and information was not as widespread as now. I also remember glass syringes that had to be sterilised in a pan of boiling water and needles that seemed the thickness of spears :shock:

    conflicting advice

    lowest Hb1Ac since 1991

    Well done. I went to clinic today, it is over 2 months since I started on my pump. HBA was 8.6 before starting now down to 7.2. :D It's like waiting for exam results!!!!! :shock: Deb

    Longest living type 1 diabetic

    I have been a diabetic for 44 years, I was 18 months old when diagnosed. All going OK but I don't feel a hypo coming on like I used to, have also had epilepsy for the same amount of time. Deb
