Thanks so much for your answers. they all seem logical and I will try and test them out. Also I was told to take metformin at lunchtime and in the evening as my morning levels are high but they improve during the day. Does that sound logical?

try sugar free chocolate, it satisfies the craving but is not so bad for you, and you cant eat too much as the sweetener will upset your stomach if you have too much.
I wonder if you can help. I was diagnosed with type two diabetes last november but decided not to take metformin but try and control things by eating no sugar and cutting down carbohydrates (much against the advice of the dietician who told me diabetics need carbohydrates! I felt much better and...
