Yep, saw doctor today......110 something or other......so now on metformin and awaiting appointment to see nurse about diet etc. Are these tablets safe does anyone know?

Doctor did a quick test......Glucose in blood at 16.4 but full blood tests sent off....ready Friday. Should I be expecting to be told I am diabetic at my appointment tomorrow?

Hi all I am a 45 year old male and I have been overweight all of my life. In recent months I have had symptoms which appear to point towards Diabetes. I have an appointment on Tuesday to see my doctor when I will hopefully get an answer. I am just wondering - as I do not understand diabetes...
