    Dapagliflozin

Hello all. I've been taking dapagliflozin on and off for a couple of years. It needs watching carefully for women who have Lichen Sclerosis as well. It increases the risk of thrush which can be a problem with thrush. The consultant at Addenbrookes put me on a prophylactic dose of fluconazole...

    Problems with CGM

Unfortunately the young man I spoke to at Dexcom seem nonplussed by what I was saying and at the end seemed a little surprised when i said, No thank you, I don't want a new one.

    Problems with CGM

So in A and E for 4 hours only to find they don't think they need to deal with it so looks like a sore arm for some time and a scar at the end of it. Hey ho. Thank you all for the hugs; I did feel a bit sorry for myself.

    Problems with CGM

It's a bit sad isn't it when we try so hard to look after ourselves and take control and it all goes wrong? I shan't use them any more; back to finger pricking for me!

    Problems with CGM

I was very careful too. I buy the injection wipes for cleaning my hearing aids so I used a couple of those before inserting it so shouldn't have been a problem. It's now a full blown abscess which hasn't responded to antibiotics so now on second course and off to A&E tomorrow for it to be drained.

    Problems with CGM

Good morning all. Sorry this is a bit long but I'm feeling a bit sorry for my self. I decided at the end of last year to give myself 6 months with a CGM to help me get back on track to get blood sugar down. (I'd got a bit complacent.) All was fine with the first ones, then I had to remove one...

I'm glad it's Woking for you. I was onTrulicity Ozempic, and Victoza consecutively. I wasn't able to eat but mostly because I felt sick all the time.

    Dexcom G7 trial

I tried the Dexcom free trial and found it interesting. I don't think I really need it but found it useful to look at directions bs was moving in. It reinforced what I believed the effect of certain foods would be but surprised me about the delayed effect of exercise. It consistently read...

    HbA1c and ferritin

I have an appointment with the Diabetes nurse next week so I've copied the information from one of the reports which links low ferritin to raised HbA1c just in case so thank you again.

    HbA1c and ferritin

Hello. Thank you for all this. It is brilliant. I think after the conversation with my doctor she is aware of the problem and frustrated that the NHS won't do anything. My B12 is managed by tablets, at least they work, and currently 451. I take one every three days and although it's...

    HbA1c and ferritin

It would be great if you could dig out the names of the clinics for me. I'll 'happily' pay for this first one but |I have a concern about how often I'll need one; I can't afford £920 on a regular basis. At the moment I'm prepared to do anything to make me feel better. Sorry for unloading all...

    HbA1c and ferritin

I'm glad that you've been successful on the NHS. The protocol in our local hospital is that if the haemoglobin isn't low then they won't do it and mine had gone up since I was put on iron tablets in November. I didn't respond to the iron tablets either. The last time I was put on them a...

    HbA1c and ferritin

Well I had a long conversation with my doctor who was upset that the NHS wouldn't give me an infusion though I obviously need it. There was little else that she could do but suggested that if I could afford it that was a specialist doctor in Cambridge who might be able to help. A phone call...

    HbA1c and ferritin

Hello Louise. It's hard isn't it dealing with your own health and being concerned with others' too? My husband has heart problems and the last year has been difficult with multiple hospital appointments. We are lucky though, Papworth is only 45 minutes away. The support of this forum is...

    Lidl Greek Yogurt

I wonder if that was just a bad batch. I've been using it for over a year since Yeo Valley went up to £4. I haven't noticed any difference.

    HbA1c and ferritin

Thank you for that. I have B12 problems too . Years on Metformin can cause low absorption of B12 and I suppose 25 years counts. Seems like after 32 years of Type 2 things are beginning to bite. I will discuss it with the doctor on Friday and the Diabetic nurse in a couple of weeks.

    HbA1c and ferritin

Hello all. I'm curious to see if anyone else has come across this. My ferritin levels have hovered around a low number for a couple of years now; anything from 8 to 38. When I contacted the doctor in November feeling unwell, very low energy, restless legs, waking up with a headache and tired...

    Weight Loss Injections

Hello. I don’t know if my experience will help you but you might find it interesting. It was suggested by a consultant that I go on to an injection as I said I was putting on a bit of weight. I wasn't in the BMI range where its usually suggested. Trulicity was first; after three months and...

    semaglutide

I'm afraid I had to go through the same procedure. I was on Dapagliflozin for a couple of years then had to come off it but earlier this year the diabetes nurse agreed I could go back. The first time she just prescribed the pills but this time I had to go to the hospital for a 'special' blood...
