    Airport security

Pretty much the same experience as other contributors. Sometimes it sets scanners off, sometimes not. Letter from doctor helps but disconnecting the pump for a short while and handing it around the security portal does no harm, it proves a point that it was the pump that was being detected. Good...

on the verge of handing my pump back :(

I have had a lot of problems with flexilink cannulas, sometimes they work ok, more often than not though I get occlusions which seem to be caused by kinks. Today I am on my fourth cannula -tried carefully a few subtle changes in how they are inserted but ultimately what a waste of money for the...

Occlusions and high readings using flexi cannulas

I have reported in to MHRA on their "yellow card" scheme and received an acknowledgement, not sure what happens now or how long they take - I imagine nothing happens very quickly. Occlusions and high readings using flexi cannulas

I have thought about reverting to the Combo which I still have but not sure if the steel cannulas suffer from the same manufacturing fault that the Insight ones have.

Occlusions and high readings using flexi cannulas

I had been on an Accu-Chek Combi pump since October 2011 with no real problems (type 1 since 1971), using steel cannulas. It came up for a 'refresh' a couple of months ago and I chose another Roche pump, the Aviva Insight. There were problems with the handset, it's batteries and error messages...
