I got heaps of tattoo's and rather than an I.d tag I was thinking of getting a sleeve piece to celebrate diabetes (ish)

Having to make about 15 adjustments to keep below 20 + which is getting painful oh the joys of diabetes and my funky spine leg thingy :lol:

After a recent stay in hospital my neurologist gave me a massive (10 tab) dose of steroids for 3 days now 2 weeks later and I can't get my bloods below 14 :shock: any tips as I'm now feeling rather poopy

My boys are getting on really well now. The wait is the hardest part thanks for all the support what a bunch of legends :D

well it will be my third wedding anniversary on the 7th and thats the day I get a lumber puncture :shock: as diabetes and diabetic neuropathy have been ruled out as the cause to this pain and weakening of my legs etc what will the mysterious inflammation in my spine be :?:

I was having trouble with the 5 mm needles so my nurse gave me a sample of 4mm needles and they work great. They are now available on prescription (in Aberdeen anyway)

They have arranged nothing and with the amount of messing around I've already put up won't hold my breath. just can't believe 6 months of cr*p and if it's my spine what extra damage have I done to it. But at least I know how to use a wheelchair if it does(and probably will) go wrong

Dan so sorry to hear about your mums suffering you need to kick up holy hell to get her help. As for my neuropathy the pain team have said it is not neuropathy it's my spine woo hoo 6 months wasted

I had my diagnosis because of dka and I'm sure others would agree it is serious enough to warrant properly treating with insulin. Insulin saved my life and until There is a proper alternative Show me the insulin and not taking it would be SELFISH

how do your family feel about this selfish approach to a condition that kills. Is this "research" backed by anyone with half a clue or is it just a joke

you've made a good first step just by talking about it on here. Now you have to try a bit at a time to take control of your diabetes get in touch with your team and once you've built your confidence up again talk to your family they love you and need to know that you're ok good luck :) This...

stress can lower your sugars as well but I'd get checked cos thats low
