    Type 1 Shielding for diabetics

I’ve been self isolating and social distancing since the 18th March, I’m fortunate that I work in education and I can work from home and still be paid. I’ve made face masks and used those when I’ve gone to the shop, I stay local and avoid people when I’m out walking the dog. I think it’s took...

Your first days on a pump

I will indeed, I am very lucky to have the t slim x2 and the dexcom both supplied by the nhs. I’m loving the dexcom and a bit obsessed with checking my results. I think I’m over thinking how my body will react to the pump but my levels drop so quick, I don’t want my glucose to drop and the alarm...

Your first days on a pump

I’m have the t slim x2 fitted on Tuesday and I just wondered how people found their first few days on the pump. Should Lucozade be exempted from the sugar tax?

What drives me mad about this topic, is after watching Jamie Oliver who had no response for what about diabetics who use sugary drinks to save their lives and stop putting extra pressure on the NHS. All he cared about was the tax on those drinks going to create breakfast clubs for kids at school...

Should Lucozade be exempted from the sugar tax?

I've tried everything and I've had enough, no longer have hypo symptoms so that's an extra pain int he bum.

Should Lucozade be exempted from the sugar tax?

Lucozade is the only thing that brings me back and it has saved my life more times than i can count. Bad months i can go through 6 bottles a day good months it can be 1 or 2 bottles a day. It costs a fortune as it is and i think there should be something so that people with diabetes are not...
