I've tried most things to treat a hypo. A small can of real coke works for me. If it is late at night I usually have a slice of toast as well. Then worry all night about wwhat my reading will be like in the morning !!!

Hi. I take humulin as well. I take it half an hour before breakfast and half an hour before my evening meal. This was what I was told by the diabetic unit. Seems to work for me.
Hi I was also misdiagnosed as a type 2 for 9 months until I eventually was referred to the professionals and on insulin that day. That was 3 years ago and I'm still learning.
What type of insulin do you take. I'm on humulin which means I have to wait 30 minutes after taking insulin to eat which can be annoying if your reading is low before your evening meal.
