    Thanks for that. I have no idea what LCHF is, at the moment I eat what I can tolerate, mostly toast and coffee. I do not have a healthy diet normally, but intend to kick start it soon, once I feel better.

    I do find the nurses can be a bit patronising, especially when they are talking to you about your weight, and "you really should be more pro-active in reducing it" when she is my size. The killer for me was when she was trying to describe carbohydrates as if I was a child. Just pathetic

    I have just answered my own question. Just went online to Amazon and bought a full testing kit. That way I am in control instead of having to go to health centre and ask for something that even the nurse said I should get, but the strips are so expensive.
