    LOST MY DIABETES

He was 'knocked out' and, I suppose, nil by mouth and on a drip. I saw a video once with two doctors discussing neuropathy. ONe of them said that a patient had complete return of sensation following a kidney transplant. My theory is that the patient was cured of diabetes by being stuck in a...

    Scared witless - my foot

I'm not sure for what I should feel more sorry for you; that you had your toe amputated or that you were on holiday in Macclesfield. Nice to hear your foot healed nicely. My big toenail seems to be re-attaching itself. All inflammation gone, thanks to pennicillin and dressings. Phew!

    Low crabbing with toddleers

I don't know how Mr Leers does it, but when I used to go crabbing as a kid in the rockpools of Combe Martin in Devon, I used one of those bamboo stick thingies with a net on the end. You can get to the really low crabs by using an extra long stick, or by tying two sticks together with strong twine.

    £12 for a Dr's letter to join a gym!!!!

You've come up against a greedy GP. I suggest that you exercise your right of free speech and make regular visits to the doctor, complaining loudly enough to be heard by all the staff and patients, berating the doctor for greed, grubbiness, selfishness etc... shame on him etc... Go to town...

    Dr Cousens work

Dr Cousens is indeed out to make shed loads of money, and his spiritual take on things is pure mumbo jumbo. HOWEVER, his treatment of diabetes really does work. It's based on simple diet and exercise with food supplements. A raw food diet really is healthy, because the human body is highly...

    Exercise, weightloss and insulin resistance

Water fast entails eating nothing at all... you just drink water. Total fast is cutting out the water as well, which is possible to do for about three days. Water fast can be done safely for up to 60 days if the body is fit and has reserves. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FAST WITHOUT THE SUPERVISION OF A...

    Exercise, weightloss and insulin resistance

Oh wow... sounds like a dream. I'm on a journey now... neuropathy in the feet and impaired healing, 43yrs old, BMI in mid 30's.. I'm aiming to get my BMI under 25, then go on a long water fast (25 days) to see if I can crush diabetes permanently into remission. You are an inspiration to me...

    chinese medicine ?

I live in South Korea, and here EVERYBODY believes in Chinese medicine. I personally taught a rather brilliant high school student who had an offer of a place at Seoul National University (the top uni in Korea) and at a Chinese Medicine University. He chose the latter. People in S. Korea...

    Scared witless - my foot

Neuropathy is the worst complication I have... and microvascular damage. It's my big motivation to beat diabetes. There's such optimism on youtube videos... I think low-carb / weight loss is the way to go. I read recently that if you just concentrate on good fats (omega 3) you can reverse...

    Scared witless - my foot

I've been an 'out of control' diabetic for well over six months. Before that I had A1c of 6.7, but it's shot up to 9.1. Three weeks ago, I hurt the toenail on my big toe of my left foot (because of the peripheral neuropathy loss of sensation). I was limping for well over a week. When I finally...
