    Should I take statins and metformin?

    Hi, I'm newly diagnosed type 2 and intend to control glucose (which isn't too bad - HbA1C is 6.2) using diet and exercise if possible though doc thinks there is benefit in taking metformin immediately. Am I right to hold off on this drug? Statins: My cholesterol levels are 5.6- HDL 1.4 LDL...
