The first time ambulance was definitely required. He couldn't take the glucogel and they gave him injection. Can I get that injection on prescription? It was given sub cut so I could give him it. I'm hoping the hypos were just a blip and he gets another 30 years of no probs. It all seems so...

Based on everyone's input I don't get how he was awarded a full licence. He didn't lie about his type 1 diabetes. He's always injected. Doesn't really matter now anyway I suppose. We just hope it's resolved quickly so he can start driving again. GP freaked me out but it's possibly not as bleak...

He did tell the DVLA he was type 1 back in 1986 but he was given a full license with no follow up. His hypo awareness is excellent. These hypos happened in middle of night when sleeping. He discussed it with his consultant after it happened and his consultant was happy it was just a 'blip' cos...

He has contacted them today and they've told him to fill in forms. He's not allowed to drive now? His consultant and his GP aren't questioning his ability to drive. Thanks for your help

Not entirely sure. The GP said my hubby had to notify the DVLA and he would lose his license and be fined. He told my hubby if he didn't do it then gp would.
