    I have been experiencing memory loss, losing words in the middle of a sentence, that sort of thing. I have been attributing it to the menopause, never thought of low blood sugar .... Maybe that's preferable as I can at least attempt to deal with that!

    Metformin - does it work?

    I didn't find Metformin decreased my appetite, but I had a metallic taste in my mouth that made cake etc less enjoyable ... My appetite isn't always connected to actual hunger though, but that's another story ...

    I thought a measurement of 7 or under was the goal, so if you're getting less than 7 without meds, why start them? I had lots of diarrhoea with Metformin, changed to sustained release and it's gone. Still flatulant! Good luck with Dr.
