    Have I reversed my Diabetes?

I am a type one diabetic. Occasionally my HB A1 C reaches very low levels. This doesn’t mean I am not a type one diabetic anymore it just means I am a type one diabetic with very low HB A1 C. Low HB A1 C doesn’t mean you are cured, it just means you have a low HbA1c.

    That thing called Exercise

Generally speaking I think exercise has become a dirty word. Can not find any conversation in these threads where someone says "it's my fault I eat to much sugar". So many comments of "it's not fair". It's all pretty demoralising I know. But it's real life folks. Survival of the fittest. If...

I eat loads of fruit and do loads of exercise so burn the sugar off. When I exercise more then I can stuff my face with cake! Problem solved. :)

    Sugar free drinks

Shortage of sugar free drinks is down to supply and demand. It's obvious when you look at the obesity problems, people want sugar.

    Why am I tired?

I find fatigue to be a problem too. Doing hard exercise helps a lot. I swim over three miles a week and feel way better for it. I have joint problems and suffer a lot of pain, it helps this too.

Am I a cynic? Strained Gp relationship

Hi. My complaint was dealt with and I received an eleven page explanation stating that no point I had made had been upheld ! I expected this from the Nhs. Anything to deny liability. However, they also stated that new safeguards have been put in place at the surgery. Hypocritical but a result...

Am I a cynic? Strained Gp relationship

Change your GP immediately. I suffered similar or worse from my GP. I strongly insisted i be referred to a specialist diabetes team then I changed GP. I placed an official complaint with the NHS and the GP subsequently left the practice. My care team is now top notch. I believe the action I took...

    The Diabetes Nurse!!!!

I have type 2 diabetes – two years in. Stopped drinking and smoking two years ago and I am quite fit and not over weight. Two weeks ago I told my gp that I no longer wish to see my Diabetes Nurse due to a number of issues. I recently had a blood test to see what my cholesterol levels were...

    Diabetes, Testing and Depression

Hi all. Was diagnosed about 3 months a go, Type 2 - diet controlled. I initially thought my experience with my "Care Team" was in isolation, however, reading the posts here suggest I am not on my own. My trouble is only with the nurse I see. She does not want me to monitor my sugars at all...
