Can anyone please confirm if long sight double vision be caused by diabeties ?

My Hb1ac was 7.4 2 months ago,recently I increased my insulin dosage to 20 Humulog x 3 & 16 Lantus x1 which reduced my insulin average on my meter to 6.6 - perhaps I injected too much ?

I recently had a short spell of double vision,has anyone else had this ? If so how did they correct it,was it due to diabeties ?

Not sure whether we diabetics are in the danger zone for Covid19,I ask the question @ which level are we more prone,high or low level ?

Thank you all for correcting my knowledge about fructose. It does however conflict with my diabetic nurse who described it as ' Good Sugar ' I shall have to ask her to explain .

Thanks for your reply. I'm on Insulin, I was 8.4 @ breakfast . The point I was trying to make is the fructose I ate was supposedly good sugar not the sticky type so it wouldn't block up the arteries in which case should I disregard the high reading ? . I didn't test 2 hours after breakfast .

My breakfast this morning consisted of : 1 wheatabix biscuit with semi-skimmed milk 1 Bowl of fruit ( strawberries,Blackberries &Yogurt) 1 Glass of Tomato juice ) . At lunch my sugar was 15.8 . Can anyone advise me what the maximum carbs & calorie intake is per person. I appreciate a persons age,height & weight would be the relating factor however is there a rule of thumb formula ?

Hi Jackie, I had a fast heart rate which eventually resulted in atrial fibrillation which in turn meant I had to have defibrillator fitted. I can't confirm if this was as a result of being diabetic but would advise asking your GP.Sorry, I didnt mean to alarm you !

I believe there are 2 types of Test machines . Whole blood & Plasma , can anyone advise which is the most accurate ? Happy Easter to you all !
