Higher BS reading since medication change

Thanks for your replies. I had a fairly low carb breakfast this morning, 2 slices Burgen Soya and Linseed bread with deli egg mayonnaise and a cup of tea (no sugar) at 8.00am. Took reading at 12pm and BG was 3.6.

Higher BS reading since medication change

I was prescribed 80mg Gliclazide by the diabetes nurse and immediately started to see lower blood sugar readings, a few days later saw my GP and mentioned that I'd had one hypo so he changed me to 30mg Gliclazide slow release. What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I've managed to link it to my Fitbit so going to try and earn some extra calories. I usually manage 10,000 steps a day walking the dogs so hope to get a bit of kudos for that.

    Gliclazide 80mg v 30mg slow release

Diabetes nurse put me on 80mg Gliclazide last Friday. Blood sugar dropped like a stone and I had a hypo on first day. Went to see GP yesterday for something else (been feeling dizzy and headachy turns out I have labyrinthitis just to add to my week of woes) mentioned the hypo and he's switched...

    Hello all

Hi everyone, I had gestational diabetes in my second pregnancy and 15 years later was dagnosed Type 2 and prescribed metformin. Not much happened over the next 5 years until we moved out of London and away from a very busy GP practice to Buckinghamshire where the GP and diabetic nurse seemed to...
