    But to do this you must talk to your diabetic nurse or doctor. You need a regime and you need to stick to it. Clinic consultants here in Scotland are very good and will help as much as they can but you must talk about it.

    Potato Carb values

    50 years with type 1 diabetes.

    In July I will be 51 years although I had a lot of laser and cataract removal. But now I can see better than I could before I was diagnosed. We're very lucky that we have the technology now we didn't have then. Well done!!!

    Sugar Tax

    Please note! sugar in water still has to be turned into glucose by your body. lucozade is glucose so works faster. I use it for my hypos which can be a godsend if I'm driving or in town shopping. The tax is not fair on anybody including diabetics who use lucozade. !!!!!
