    I've been on a pump for just 2 months and HbA1C has dropped from 7.0% to 6.5% plus I've lost 3kg !! Couldn't be happier :mrgreen:

    Wandering around the shops yesterday and realised that a digital camera case (with belt hoops) will do the same job as a "rip off" pump pouch...lots of variety and less than a tenner!!! :roll:

    Something that confuses me

    Animas 2020 costs over 5000 euros where I live (France). Thankfully the social security pays the rental charges for it. Still seems as though the companies are ripping people off!

    Pumpwearinc do great stuff, but watch out for hidden costs. I bit the bullet and bought a smart pouch for use at work but got collared with £13 customs charges by the PO. The pouch probably cost a pound or 2 to make....total cost was over £50 with the extra charges! :evil:

    Colouring Insulin!

    Not sure about colouring insulin! Concerning air bubbles in the catheter, make sure that the insulin is at room temperature before filling the pump reservoir. Cold insulin degasses when it warms up causing unexpected bubbles in the line.

    I love my Animas 2020! So easy to use and my blood sugar levels have never been so stable and within limits. I'm followed monthly by VitalAire for pump supplies and every 6 months by a diabetalogue with one day a year in an excellent diabetes clinic. I couldn't ask for better care and am so...

    Hi Lived in France since 1994. Diabetic type 1 for 5 years. Pump with Novorapid. Very well followed by specialist near Paris. Any other Brits in France with similar diabetis? Kevin
