    How were you diagnosed

I was told by a physician, who had previously ‘mentioned’ I was pre-diabetic. I wish she had been more informative. I knew very little about diabetes. Was young and naive. I didn’t pay much attention. Soon I was being prescribed medication and was told I was full-blown type 2 diabetic. Sure...

    New too forum

Hello. I’ve had Type 2 for about the same amount of time you have. Have done poorly keeping it in check. Haven’t committed enough effort to it. I’ve been a member here for some time, but need to get more serious about checking in because I think there’s good support here. Welcome!

Good for you for staying with the low carb way of eating and losing the weight you put on while on insulin.

Reversing T2 With Diet - Who Has Done It And Who Wants To Give It A Go?

I commend you. I do have a question. Were you 'ever' a carb addicted eater? Did you eat yourself silly with baked goods, chips, and fatty cold cuts? I guess that was more than one question. It's wonderful that you're able to refrain from eating sugary and fatty foods. Many of us find that...

    Coming off metformin

Hi! I am trying to get the morning numbers down. I am usually in the 8's. Recently I've been hearing about people coming off Metformin. I've been on it for years. What am I missing? Why come off it? Thx for input. Mod note: Post taken from the Type 2's What was your fasting blood glucose in a...
