    Glycemic index and Load

I hope it goes the way you want it to - I guess it could make a huge difference if it goes the wrong way!

Yes it is scary down there - we haven't been for a while because of the rate of exchange - we were actually going to come to Britain for a holiday but it seems prices over there are very high and right now we have to pay $1.85 for a pound and we can buy more with our dollar than we can with a...

We are very lucky in Alberta - we don't pay for our health care and when you are retired most of your prescriptions are free and if they are more than usual the most you pay if you are retired is $25.00 we don't pay for X-rays, cat scans, ultrasounds, surgery or hospital stays (and that is for...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who lost weight without even trying keep up the good work. It also seems like Canada and Britain have...

    Glycemic index and Load

I didn't change the way I eat to lose weight that was never in my mind I changed the way I ate to lower my A1C and the weight loss happened because of what I learned lowering my numbers were more important to me than losing weight but I am glad it happened.

    Glycemic index and Load

I am so happy that I found the Glycemic index and Load which I never knew about ever since I was diabetic. The only reason I found it was because my knee replacement surgery was cancelled in March due to my A1C being too high at 9. Being that I worked for lawyers for many, many years I was...

    Lower A1C

That quote is so true - my "punishment" in February was my knee replacement surgery was postponed because of my A1C but I don't see that as a punishment as the surgeon did it as he cares enough to get things to where they needed to be.

    Lower A1C

I found the glycemic index and glycemic load and changed everything around and got my A1C from 9 to 6.2 and lost 10 pounds in 8 weeks! (I think the A1C numbers are the same in Britain as Canada). I love to bake but usually didn't eat a lot of it but we did come across a few stores in town that...

    Hello

Thank you for the above information. I will say in Canada they only do A1C testing every 90 days they won't even do it for a surgeon who wants pre-op number. I guess Britain and Canada probably have different ways of doing things!

    Hello

Ha Ha you are too funny I wish I was still gorgeous now I am old and falling apart LOL! Yes it is an epidural because the surgeon wants a patient to wake sooner and get up and walk!!! Luckily I have a high tolerance to pain just wish I was deaf!!! Thanks for the wishes you are gorgeous too...

    Hello

Thank you it is kind of weird just thinking about being awake while he saws my knee off but he thinks he is funny as he said we could tell jokes!!! I find I get more pain sitting or while sleeping. I go for a dip in the pool in the evening and then in the hot tub and that makes it feel better...

    Hello

Thank you everyone for the information. I am still having a small problem navigating but I will figure out soon!!! I just need to let you all know my A1C was actually 9 when the surgeon postponed and he postponed it as his diabetic patients had a higher risk for infection when their sugar was...
