Thank you all who replied. Will put the Aviva away and watch for trends as suggested. Hopefully in a slightly move downward direction. One encouraging thing is that no one has said my readings are a cause of concern. :)

I had been using Aviva Accu-Chek from March 2016, when diagnosed Type 2, up until mid September 2019. Average readings as follows: Waking 6.9 mmol/L, 2hrs after Breakfast 6.4 mmol/L, 2hrs after Lunch 6.2 mmol/L, Bedtime 6.0 mmol/L. Total Average 6.4 mmol/L. I then decided to change my meter to...

12/10 7.8 this morning. Slowly getting back to normal after a summer of visitors Two days into 'the 8 week Blood Sugar diet' worked a treat when I was first diagnosed T2 back in Feb. Lost a stone and a half so here we go again!

8.1 this morning. Disappointed. Changed my meter about a week ago from Accu-Check Aviva to SD Codefree and the readings are coming out generally higher all round. Also have friends staying which is making control more difficult. [emoji26]

Been thinking of getting the above meter as I have been using Accu Chek Aviva, but the strips are so expensive. Read some report's of problems with accuracy and reliability of readings. Are they ok or should I bite the bullet and keep buying the Accu Chek strips?
