when i was first tested for diabetes my blood sugar reading was over 22 its now averaging 9 is this good or bad ?

hi guys i am supposed to take 3 metformin tablets a day but that would mean me eating an extra meal so i only take two a day. one after breakfast and one after my evening meal. do you think this will be ok to control my diabetes ?
