Pinch or fold in the stomach area?

Oh yes that's it, thanks! I have a permenant dead patch on one thigh which came of suddenly. It's on my left thigh, just above the knee on the side about the size of a hand. It doesn't annoy me much to be honest, but I think a cortoze injection was suggested to help fix it.

Pinch or fold in the stomach area?

A while ago whilst researching pins and needles to the legs I came across a condition in those who like me are overweight and carry weight around the stomach. It talked about the weight in this area causing a 'pinch' or fold to either a nerve or some other tube to the side of the stomach which...

    Diabetic neuropathy - boo hiss!!

I'm trying to push that that discomfort barrier, as the exercise is getting my weight down and also helping keep my levels down and steady. I guess it's a small price to pay thinking of the long term.

    Diabetic neuropathy - boo hiss!!

Hey there - no not really worse at night and not troubling me when sleeping. the only difference between night and day is that I'm walking around more during the day, which seems to help, although maybe I'm just not focusing on it so much. You say you have experienced this when your BG's came...

    Diabetic neuropathy - boo hiss!!

I also feel that the walking I've been doing may have brought on this numbness and itching in my legs, as it coincided with me starting an exercise program, consisting mainly of walking about 5 times a week. The walking though seems to help ease the pain and itchiness on the front of my shins...

    Diabetic neuropathy - boo hiss!!

Yes that's exactly how it feels, as it's very suddenly affecting me and it's hard to not feel like it's quite catastrophic! But of course, seeing my specialist is the next step. Just wanted to see if it was something that people on here may have experienced.

    Diabetic neuropathy - boo hiss!!

Hi and thanks for the reply. Yes I'm on Kombiglyze XR 2.5 / 1000 (Saxagliptin / Metformin) and Ardix Gliclazide 60mg. My readings have recently come down from 12-14 to 7-9mmol fasting as a result of diet change and exercise. The leg problems seemed to have started at the point my readings came...

    Diabetic neuropathy - boo hiss!!

Sore, numb legs after BG's have dropped quickly?

My BG's have dropped signifigantly in the past 2 months from an average of mid teens down to about 6-8. This is brilliant and I feel great, but I've found that after I've started walking most days 30 - 60 mins, I have been experiencing numbness, mainly in the lower leg. I'm also getting pins...

Hi to everyone. Just looking for some reassurance from those who may have been through a similar thing. I'm type 2, on medication, but haven't really adjusted my diet and fitness and thus my BG readings are still quite high. As a result of not addressing this, I find I'm very tired every day...
