French toast with low carb bread?

I Yes it did, but it was manageable for me. I’m a LADA so take insulin but it’s the best if you are looking for low carb sourdough.

French toast with low carb bread?

Have you tried these? https://lowcarbsourdough.co.uk/shop/ It lower carb than ordinary sourdough but not as low as some ordinary low carb breads on the market. Worth a try and quite tasty.

    Baking with Almond flour

Are they all artificial sweeteners in low carb baking @MrsA2? I thought, or I try to use, alternative sweeteners in my baking. Usually a monkfruit mix, organic if possible. Stevia is plant based and a good alternative too. I’ve recently bought “Panda” flour from pandapantry.co which is made...

    What Thickener?

I second arrowroot. But you could also try Glucomannan powder which is natural and made from Konjak xantham gum is made from a bacteria through a process of fermentation. It’s pretty safe but I avoid it.

No admittance for Type 1 Diabetics at Heathrow

I have to say, and I travel from T5 Heathrow a lot, I have never had a problem and just sail through. They might do a random check but I take that with good grace. I have my insulin pens in a cool bag and just take it through X-ray search as normal. I would question and report anybody that...

    Deliciously Guilt Free bakes

Hi Pixie, each to their own of course, but I have ordered a couple of times from DGF and each time I found them too sweet. I suppose the only way to find out is to buy something from them. There are other sites on the web that are good though. Good luck and let us know what you think.

    Wagamamas

We go to Wagamama, it’s a treat I choose carefully as there are a couple of dishes that are lower carb but I always ask them to replace the rice with more green veg and they always do. It works for me. No puds though just lots of green tea and maybe a coffee to finish with. Good luck.
