    Type 1: Sore finger tips - not taking insulin

    I also went into DKA earlier this year due to not testing and not administering insulin as prescribed. I have never felt so ill in my life and to be told that if I had left things much longer, I could be looking at kidney dialysis or even worse. it really upset my family and I felt so guilty...
