I also did the cracker test recently, guess what, absolutely no sweetness at all. Chewed and chewed until my jaw cramped. My wife also did it and after about 10 seconds she said it turned all sweet in her mouth.

Sounds identical to me. A1C is just in normal range but fasting finger prick test is always 6-7, no matter what I do. For me sleep seems to be the biggest factor, if I have a rough night it's always nearer 7mmol when I get up.

Hi Simon, do you take R-ALA or the racemic R/S-ALA variety? The price of R-ALA has risen dramatically in the UK due to exchange rate, however the racemic variety is still widely available competitively priced, although it's effectiveness is supposed to be questionable.
