Any other type 1's take SGLT 2 or dapagliflozin?

I've been taking 5mg Forxiga (Dapagliflozin) on and off for around two years now. At first I had lots of thrush and UTI's and then it settled down and I realised it only works if you are relatively low carb anyway, It definitely lowered my levels. No weight loss, but I did feel more in control...

Any type 1 diabetics on Metformin?

Hi I've been taking metformin for a good ten years alongside my insulin and it really does help level wise. If I forget to take it, then I go much higher than without.

    Fiasp causing bruising?

Afternoon All I have recently moved onto Fiasp after years of using Humalog. I haven't changed needles but I am bruising quite badly with every injection. Is this normal? I didn't get it unless I had a haematoma before Many thanks

Thank you for that. Hopefully on that basis my results look ok but the creatine looks top end. I will wait for the GP to confirm of course!

    ACR Results

Hello I saw that my results are on my chart, but have yet to discuss them with my GP. Does the following look ok? I have scoured this site and the NHS website trying to make sense of the conversions but can I heck figure it out. I blame the hypo (good excuse!) Thanks in advance! Karen Coded...

    Explaining to collegues

Hi Luckily I have good friends who are also colleagues who are very well versed in how and where to inject but I appreciate not everyone would be comfortable in that situation. And it has never resorted to that in the last 15 years or ever at work , so fingers crossed

    Explaining to collegues

Hi I just told my colleagues if I start talking gibbersish (more than usual) and stuttering then I'm hypo and to leave me alone with my haribo's until I'm fit to have a normal conversation again. On a serious note, I keep a glugogan pen in the fridge at work should it be a really bad one and I...

Dapaglifloxin - anyone had any experience with this?

Thank you. I should have known this already but I didn't really have a consultation as such, so I have been taking it blindly. Will endeavor to limit the white carbs as much as I can

Dapaglifloxin - anyone had any experience with this?

I have been taking this drug for over a year now. At first my weight went up and then after 2 months evened back out and I haven't lost a pound while using it. I have had many bouts of thrush unfortunately, and have stopped taking it while ill as advised by my doctor. I am unsure of the benefits...
