    ED as a first complication?

Hi Your GP can easily prescribe sildenafil which is the name for viagra. It may not be diabetes related as i have had things go wrong and the NHS blamed diabetes which has not been the case as my dad had similar problems and is not diabetic. Apparently men don't like talking about such things...

What’s everyone planning now that Levemir is going?

The memory function on the novopens is vital if you are getting a bit forgetful? Even if you are not you can use it to your advantage. It is unlikely your GP surgery would understand its function i know mine didnt. Good luck Tony

To combat this i have a cupboard in the kitchen where all my medical bits and bobs live. I even bought a plastic tray for the fridge to keep my insulin in date order. I bought a label maker not long ago for my workshop so everything is in order. I am getting more OCD the older i'm getting but...

Type 2 - Managing Fear of Hypos

Hi Type 1 of 50 years. Hba1c 39 or 5.7. I can operate quite normally in the 3s and as i have never passed out or been hospitalised i do not worry about being low. I'm more concerned over being high and micromanage my condition. I am not being smug or glib its just i've had diabetes that long...

    What Producer you use?

Hi My gp surgery altered the needles i use a few years back which were cheaper. I didn't like them so asked the surgery to change my prescription which they did. I also had an issue with a particular brand of blood pressure tablet and spoke to the pharmacist and she got me the brand that worked...

Feeling ill / high blood sugar after brushing teeth.

Hi I don't eat breakfast unless i have to. I walk to work mon to fri which takes care of any rise in levels. At weekend i'm more sedate and take fast acting insulin if my levels start to rise. All quite straight forward for me. What insulin do you take? Its a fine line between taking enough...

Could your wifi router be used in the future to monitor for night time hypos

The idea of it is very exciting but what happens if i,m half way across the pennines ? Would we have to spend our entire lives within detector distance of a wi fi signal although some people do that already lol. Its quite mind boggling and i love a good boggle! Tony
