The right "high fats" will not cause high Cholesterol, the high carbs will make your diabetes worse, white potatoes, chips, rice, pasta all need to go.
Look for an LCHF diet, Many people on here are on it with great results including myself.
I agree, the Doctor wanted to put me on Stains which I can not bring myself to take, My interest in getting them down is to prove to the Doctor that I did not need the Stains, My aim is like you to be Diabetes free. I am sick of being ill and I refuse to take any more tablets.

I am a vegetarian so I do not eat foods that raise my cholesterol, I eat mainly a raw food diet, Nuts and salad, I also fast 16/18 hours a day.
