Why are T1 diabetics 4 times more likely to miscarriage....

Thank you all so much for your replies [emoji171] I’m not your perfect diabetic but I do try. It’s so very hard when you see all the pregnant women just getting on with their normal routine and knowing if it happens to you, it would be such a regimented procedure. Did any of you actually enjoy...

Why are T1 diabetics 4 times more likely to miscarriage....

Is this due to people having poor control of their diabetes or something out of a diabetics control? Looking at pregnancy is so scary as it is, then reading all these horror stories just make it some how seem not worth doing. THEN when you finally think 'Ok, lets give it a try...' you get told...

    Travel!

Slip - I think your next holiday maybe Croatia! Thanks for all your info, I'm used to holidaying in Iceland which is quite easy to control the old diabeties in -15 conditions! I had DKA 6 years ago and it's made me a bit jittery about hot countries due to the possibility of eating some dodgy...

Not happy with this diabetes scenario

According to research low carb dieting is mainly for type 2 diabetics, yes it can benefit a type 1 but no evidence to prove this as yet. Type one diabetics are advised to count carbs to insulin ratio by there diabetic teams. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

I smoke, drink and eat chocolate - bite me!!

Echoing other posts again, this is light hearted, we do not need people jumping on this telling ha about our actions, we are big enough and have lived with this long enough to realise we are not saints, we try hard at being a 'good' diabetic but it's actually nice to hear other people have their...
