    Covid vaccination

    Well I got the vaccine on Tuesday, only side effects were swollen arm and sore head and maybe a bit more tired, it doesn't seem to have made blood sugars high like the flu one did. My hubby had it yesterday and all he's had is a slightly sore arm [emoji4]

    That's bad that they didn't test for diabetes instantly, my control is just a bit erratic, no where near as bad as your poor wife. Hope she gets in control soon. I'll be fine, I have had this for so long I will just muck about with the amount of insulin till I find out what works.

    I've been type 1 for 44years always well controlled. In the last year my sugars have been erratic, I've been told this is probably down to menopause. I've recently got a libre and have had to up my basal and reduce my bolus, it's getting a bit better but doing loads of scans

    I had my first son with forceps at 38 weeks, I held him for 1 hour then his blood sugar fell so he was taken to sc where they fed him, he was there for 4 days but I was allowed to breastfeed. With my second son 3 years later I ended up with a section at 37 weeks but they decided not to take him...

    Accu-chek mobile blacklisted by my NHS Trust

    I got a contour next meter from Bayer but my surgery wouldn't prescribe the strips cos they cost more than the contour ones that I have been using, they then changed me to a Tru u meter which is the cheapest . I don't mind helping the nhs but am annoyed that when I now order I only get 1 box...

    When did it hit you that you've got a serious illness?

    After being diagnosed 40 years ago aged 10 its only now I feel I've got a serious illness. It hasn't stopped me doing anything I've wanted including having 2 healthy kids but recently I've been finding myself struggling to lose weight,get fit and it takes me longer to get over a hypo..I also...
