    I eat a carnivore diet—almost zero fiber. But I also suffer from diverticulitis, or rather I used to. Now I take nightly magnesium citrate to keep myself regular. Constipation=diverticulitis. May citrate is my new best friend.

    Went out for brunch after church this morning and I had two eggs over easy and ribeye steak, a handful of raspberries. Have a brisket on the smoker for dinner tonight. Smells delish!!! I'm penalty have a glass of dry red wine with it.

    Yeah, sorry. At 22 grams of carbs in one serving that would definitely spike me into a range I don't want to go. Thought it was too good to be true. I can have 5-6 grams off carbs per meal and not spike. Anything more than that and I'm spiking WAY above 120. I keep my A1C at 4.7-4.9.

    Actually, there is evidence out there that not snacking can actually help insulin resistance. Eating anything creates an insulin response, so if you can go without having an insulin response for extended periods, it can actually make your insulin resistance improve. (Mod edit)

    Exactly. That's what I have cube to understand as well. Exactly why it's so important to cut the carbs and eat only to your meter. We need to RUN away from those providers who tell us we can "eat anything in moderation."

    You are getting ravenous because all you are eating is carbs. Those raise your blood sugar then plummet and leave you starving. Eat protein and healthy fats and you won't be ravenous, I promise.
