I use Frio wallets too! When away in hot countries, I do keep insulin in the wallets all the time. I have two, one for everyday use and one for unopened insulin pens. Recommend them

In answer to your main question, its quite safe to use both insulins together - I have in the past. Type 1 for 40 years, no complications yet. Getting the blood sugar levels down is important so if using both insulins does that, continue. As others have said, the carbohydrate needs to be...
