Type 2 with zero meds: My Story

Well..I'm still routinely in the low 100's and hit the upper 90's after fasts and exercise. I Haven't taken any meds yet. Still trying to see if I can get lower without meds, or I've hit the limit of what I can do.

    My eyes

Just had the same happen. I've worn glasses for being nearsighted for 25 years. Started my LCHF diet in conjunction to taking Losartin to real in some hypertension, and thought I'd had a miracle cure. It was amazing. A few weeks later, it reverted. Was sweet while it lasted.

    Trulicity injection.

Hopefully the motivation...is to cease being depressed and ill. One of two things will occur. Either you kick this ***** in the teeth, or you let it kick you in yours. When you're sick of swallowing your own teeth, you'll put your steel tips ok and start doing the kicking. Good luck my...

    Trulicity injection.

I hope you folks that say your diet isn't on track can turn that around. No manner of medicine is going to be able to correct poor dieting. You have to find a way to get that under control first as it, and nothing else, is the chief driving factor, along with regular exercise, to managing and...

Type 2 with zero meds: My Story

There truly does seem to be a divide between old school doctors and their trains of thought and the new wave of physicians.

Man. Reduce to those levels? My blood sugar was 365 at discharge. I have no idea how I'd have reduced that with that kind of carb intake.

Type 2 with zero meds: My Story

It's an awkward situation. My own primary physician, whom I've seen exclusively since I was 14 back in 1992 is a type 1 diabetic and is on an insulin pump. How do you tell someone of that level of expertise that they're wrong. Especially when they have the condition? How does he not know that...

Type 2 with zero meds: My Story

Thank you. I just can't believe that every medical authority I've seen has told me that I need to eat so many carbs.

    Forgetting if I took insulin?

I have daily recurring alarms programmed into my iPhone calendar. I get an alert 30 minutes prior to the time I have to take them, again 10 minutes prior, and then at the time itself. Can never have enough reminders.

    Terrified and Depressed

I have one piece of advice. Pick up a copy of Grain Brain and give it a read. It may shed some light on why you could possibly be experiencing some of your conditions, and how to combat them. Good luck.

    Dietician appointment

When I was admitted to the hospital with ketoacidosis, my discharge dietician prescribed me a diet that aimed for me to consume 45-75 carbs per meal, and another 15-30 for snacks between major meals. 165-285g of carbs per day. How f'ing crazy is that? And my primary backed it up! You're...

Type 2 with zero meds: My Story

Back at the end of March, I was going through a stretch where I was constantly thirsty. I could drink 32 oz. of water and 10 seconds later felt like I'd dragged my tongue across Death Valley. I couldn't quench my thirst. As a result of drinking so much, I was in the bathroom constantly. 2-3...

Bfs cheated on me... can't eat.

Well...I certainly wouldn't marry him. That's not the person you want to spend your life with. He doesn't deserve you. Do try to eat however. I know it can be difficult. Just be grateful you're only engaged and not married. Truthfully, he's doing you a favor. You now have the freedom to find...
