Type 1 Cramp in my leg

Oh when I spoke with my gp and this was for me only, he was going to prescribe a drug to help, but because of other drugs I take I couldn't have it. He therefore suggested quinine and told me to drink tonic water. Tonic water contains a small amount compared to levels in the past, but I do...

I suffer with terrible cramps and have done for years. It may not be diabetes related I don't know. My initial thoughts when reading your question was either dehydration, insufficient salt in the system, same with potassium. I haven't got an answer for you, except go to your gp, don't be...

Hi all. I went to the gp yesterday and she prescribed gliclazide in addition to the metformin. She has also said that I should as best as possible go on a low GI diet. So what the wife and I have decided is to go on a low carbo diet, using s many low Gim foods as possible. I think that 38g of...

Wolfe, if you were going to go to Download and have issues, look into the disabled access. I qualify for this and had a carer with me and the carer went free. On the viewing platform there's a lot more space than if you're on the main field. If at gigs, be careful re the toilets as there's...

    Help

Just wanted to say a big Thank you to everyone for their advice. I had full bloods done today, never seen so many vials, but with regards to the blood sugar I am not that hopeful. I asked the nurse to test my levels and they were 18. So I made an emergency appt with the diabetic nurse. On...

    Help

Thanks Ultramum, I am looking on the packets from today, in Sainsbury's Tenby I was put off from buying some items because of the high sugar count, even though it said natural sugars made up the amount. Think I am going to have to have a crash course in what to look for in the nutritional...

Ok so I have a family history of diabetes, with my sits being insulin dependent. I was diagnosed over a year ago and have probably been in denial, as I have had so many other issues and have been rather lax in taking my tablets.
