    Pain

That's really interesting. I've been suffering quite badly as well and deep down I'd wondered if it started at the same time as I went onto insulin but never really made the link (until I saw this original post). Now I'm hoping that this is the cause because all other blood test results are not...

    Pain

Thanks. Yeah, though it seems to be a listed side effect with most insulins. I'm trying to find a way to persuade my diabetic nurse (or her consultant) to switch me. It seems that Glargine is the cheapest, hence the preference for using it with new patients I guess. I just want to have as much...

    Pain

Does anyone know if there are any studies, papers, articles on this? I have had very similar issues since starting on Abasaglar a few months ago and what I first thought was the onset of neuropathy has turned into really painful muscle spasms all over my body. At the time I thought 'just my...

    Pain

Hi. This all strikes a real note with me. After going onto insulin (basaglar) a few months ago, I have been having the most horrific pains in my legs and feet. What are the alternatives to Glargine based in insulin?

    Celeriac

Grate it with a cheese grater. Perfect alternative to rice. Tastes better I think. You can warm it up in a pan or microwave, but I don't bother.

achilies tendonitis/tendinopathy and shock wave therapy

Hi, Spiral I don't know if this post will find you, since the thread is old now. I wanted to get in touch to ask you a bit more about the shockwave treatment. I had a course of it and wanted to get a sense of the timescale you experienced in terms of the healing. Also any advice on when and how...

    Tight foreskin!

Ask your gp or the guy at the gum clinic to test for lichen sclerosis. (Google it youself as well). May or may not be that. Only a biopsy will tell. It may be treatable with a cream but circumcision is pretty much 100% effective. In the meantime (grit your teeth everyone) you can actually...

    Cortisone Injection

Spiral, I'd read your post a while ago and it led me to doing some research, I found a place in Croydon that would do a course of 3 treatments for £600. I told the physio at my hopsital about it and he told me that they have just bought a shockwave machine and he would consider it as an option...

    Cortisone Injection

Thanks H That's reassuring. In my case the cortisol isn't the main treatment - the saline is. The cortisol is just there for pain relief. What I'm wondering is if I can get away with having the saline with no cortisol in it. Glad your worked though.

    Cortisone Injection

Just wonder if anyone can share any experience... I've had an achillies tendon problem for about 9 months. Achillies Tendenopathy. I was prescribed a series of Eccentric excersises which I did for 12 weeks but did not work, then I was prescribed another series, similar excersises but different...
