    exercise

    Any exercise you do helps as said .Find somthing you enjoy and can do think in a different,way walk to the local shops . park further away from your destination get a bike and explore the local area . You just need to get your muscles working as they burn glucose from the blood .

    Can't sleep !

    I to have suffered with this problem and think it may be to do with the body clock My bg was at 5.8 at 9.00pm by midnight it has risen to 6.7 and at 2.00am fallen back to 6.2 with it being 6.5 at 7.00 am my last meal and drink was at 7.00pm so not sure what goes on but I know why I feel so awake...

    Hi I had a peach at about 1.00Pm I can understand a liver dump in the mornings but how can I get the sugar levels down when I presume the liver get the glucose from body fat and mantains it at quite a high level do the statins cause it to do this ?

    I went on a Desmond course within 3 months of diagnosis I found it very confusing some parts were good motivation ete and the best bit was to recomend this web site But I think the course has to cater for so many different people that its basic eat well and exercise

    Hi on a recent Desmond course it was suggested that exercise was one of the key ways of reducing blood sugars as the muscles are able to use the glucose directly from the blood stream. even small changes to life stye will help like parking the car further from a shop or office etc

    The drops that are used will relax the muscles in the eyes causing them to dilate its a bit like comming out of a dark room into bright sunlight also though it reduces the eyes ability to focus on near object so reading etc will be out for a few hours .
